I’m Andy Pompei, a qualified City of London and Westminster guide. I create private, bespoke London tours combining famous landmarks with hidden places, fascinating characters and the stories that bring the city to life. Every tour is tailored to you and your interests.

ANDY POMPEI
I spent nearly 30 years in the fire service before turning a lifelong fascination with London and its history into a second career as a professional guide.
During my time in the fire service I received several commendations, including one for bravery. It was a career that taught me the importance of preparation, attention to detail and looking after the people in my care — qualities I bring to every tour I lead.
I’m a qualified Westminster Guide and City of London Green Badge Guide, and a member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding. I specialise in two extraordinary parts of London that I never tire of exploring.
What I enjoy most is going beyond dates and landmarks. I want you to meet the characters, discover the hidden details and hear the stories that make London come alive — and to finish the day feeling that you’ve seen a London most visitors never find.
STEPHEN WILLIS
Stephen enjoys a busy life as a guide in London and as a musician. A former teacher, he is now a qualified guide in the City of London and in the City of Westminster.
Stephen’s tours explore musical themes and as a former choral scholar of St John’s College at Cambridge University he finds it hard to resist bursting into song when guiding! Stephen also performs as a clarinettist on a regular basis and is a composer and a conductor. As a teacher he directed performances in such prestigious venues as Salisbury Cathedral, St George’s Chapel, Windsor; St Mark’s Basilica, Venice; and Florence Cathedral.
Nowadays in central London he can often be found near the royal palaces along The Mall, where his years spent as a Gentleman of the Chapel Royal at Hampton Court Palace mean he is always delighted to field visitors’ questions about English history and also the royal family, including their many connections with music.
