'Come and follow in the footsteps of the famous 17th Century diarist Samuel Pepys, as he discovers the devastation caused by the Great Fire of 1666. You can look for his cheese, and bottle of wine he buried in his garden, saving it from the fire.
Whilst learning about the Great Fire we will travel through time to the 29th December 1940 and discover the devastation caused by a Firestorm known as the second Great Fire of London.
We will look at methods of extinguishing fires and how they have changed over the years; we will also look at how the regulations regarding fire safety changed and how they still affect us today.
