A WALK THROUGH WESTMINSTER WITH Co-Pilot

I had a wonderful afternoon walking and talking history with Co-Pilot. Co-Pilot are a group of road safety experts from across the country who come together to discuss how to make young people safer on the roads.
They were having their conference in Great Peter St, Westminster and I met them outside the offices of The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd (SMMT). We walked through an area that was once called ‘Devils Acre’ then on to ‘Queen Anne’s gate’, a beautiful upmarket street backing on to St James’s Park, strolling through the park, stopping to talk about it’s history and to take some photo’s whilst the sun was shinning.

We finished in St James’s, learning some history about the Palace and then looking at some of the oldest shops in London.
After walking for nearly two hours, refreshments were needed, so we headed to the American Bar in St James’s where we all enjoyed a well-earned cocktail.
It was a privilege to take such a wonderful group around this beautiful part of London, I hope to be able to take them on another walk in the future.

“We booked a walking tour with Andy as the afternoon portion of a corporate day out that started with a meeting in Westminster. Our group of 12 got to know each other better as we enjoyed a 90-minute wander through little-known streets, learning about the history of areas we walk through all the time, but really know nothing about! Whether you’re a history buff, or just fancy something different for a couple of hours, you can’t fail to be entertained by this tour. We ended up in the American Bar in St James for a round of Old Fashioned in the sun”. James Evans (co-founder of Co-Pilot)
“The walking tour of London that Andy provided was excellent. He was able to provide a huge level of insight and detail into a relatively small area of the city."
